Jazz Cookies are plant-based full-spectrum cannabis-infused cookies. Cannabinoids in Jazz Brands products are always derived from cannabis, never from hemp.
Why Not Hemp?
Hemp-derived THC refers to tetrahydrocannabinol extracted from hemp plants containing 0.3% or less of Delta-9 THC by dry weight. Products containing “hemp-derived” THC and CBD have proliferated in recent years, following the 2018 Farm Bill.
The bill allowed manufacturers to legally extract and concentrate compounds like Delta-8 or Delta-9 THC to create potent edibles, vapes, and beverages that are sold over the counter nationwide. Because the hemp industry is largely unregulated, hemp-derived products often lack consistent manufacturing, testing, or labeling standards. They might be contaminated with pesticides or heavy metals, have inconsistent amounts of THC and CBD, or contain harmful chemicals.
Jazz Brands will source all its cannabis within New York State from licensed cultivators regulated by the Office of Cannabis Management. All cannabis used in Jazz Brands products will be free of harmful chemicals and pesticides, heavy metals, and other mystery ingredients potentially present in edibles containing hemp-derived THC and CBD.
All Jazz Brands offerings will be third-party tested to ensure consistent dosing as well as the absence of potentially harmful ingredients and additives.
